Dear employees,
Last year, much - too much - was still under the influence of the corona pandemic and the effects of the virus are still with us. So it is all the more gratifying that there is nevertheless a lot of positive news to announce this summer: Sales development in 2021 has exceeded our expectations and our #KAMAXkicksCorona vaccination campaign is proceeding successfully. Many of our employees in Europe and North America have already been immunized against COVID-19, with more being added every month. At the same time, all key strategy initiatives have gained momentum and we are in the process of establishing a stable basis for an even more future-proof, economic strength of KAMAX.
For this positive trend to last, we must continue to pursue our strategy as intensively as before. The PPA initiative is now in the implementation phase, the first machines have arrived at their new plants, and in the last twelve months, we have installed a total of 18 new presses to best meet our customers’ needs. The next two years along with the implementation of this initiative will be of great importance for the long-term future of KAMAX. The GEB will continue to make all the necessary investments for this and set the course in the right direction.
We are also making good progress in another strategically important area: the development of new products and the opening up of new markets. The majority shareholding in the Robert Schröder Group gives us new opportunities in the production of complex cold-formed parts or non-bolt products - particularly for customers outside the automotive industry. At the same time, Technology is breaking new ground and finding the perfect solution for alternative drive systems. On the next pages you will find new information on all these topics and can also read about the renewal of the KAMAX Awards (now open to all employees), learn more about the history of the Secondary Operations in Turnov and find interesting photos of a car hobbyist in Mexico.
We have handled the many challenges of these difficult times very well in recent months. With your commitment, we will also master all future ones. On behalf of the Group Executive Board, I would like to thank you and hope you enjoy reading our KXpress.
