Dear employees,
We have not been profitable for several months in a row now. This is not only due to the pandemic, the consequences of the war in Ukraine or the resulting increase in prices for raw materials and energy. We cannot turn the incomming high sales into large profits out all plants. That is why in July, we decided to stop all projects not having a direct impact on the performance of our production.
At the same time, it is essential to look forward. To do this successfully, it is imperative that all the gears in production mesh better – because this is where the heart and base of KAMAX lies. This includes optimizing the framework around production. That is why we are currently refining the organizational structure and placing more responsibility in the hands of the regionally responsible persons. In this regard, we reduced the GEB to two members: CEO and CFO. Since July 1, the plants are firmly in the hands of the regions.
With all the things we currently have to deal with, one thing we cannot neglect: The quality of our products! We have worked hard over decades to earn our customers’ satisfaction and the trust they have in us. Complaints and claims – when they occur – cost a lot of money and represent a risk of loss in confidence. That’s why in this KXpress issue, we take a detailed look at the risks of inadequate quality and everything we do to ensure producing excellent products. Help us on a day-to-day basis to maintain high quality as one of KAMAX’s core competencies.
In this issue, we also take a look at our Test Parts department, which is closely linked to our customers’ development projects around the world. We introduce our different new colleagues in China, highlight our cycling initiatives in Eastern Europe, and our efforts to succeed in the e-bike market.
One thing you may have noticed while browsing through: Our magazine not only looks different, it also feels different. A small taste of what else awaits you in the coming months. With a new design both inside and outside, we want to show what we stand for today and tomorrow: for a company with strong roots and an unshakable drive for innovation and problem-solving. I am convinced that we are already a whole step ahead – despite all the challenges. And we want to make that visible to everyone!
Let’s continue to tackle it together!
