Robert Price, Director of Supply Chain Management in Lapeer (USA), also heads of the Team Cont;nue Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in Michigan. Team Cont;nue is dedicated to support families of adolescents and young adults who have been treated for suicide attempts and thoughts.

Since the loss of Robert‘s son Peter in 2016, Team Cont;nue has grown and become a urgently needed organization promoting suicide prevention. Since 2021, 150 therapy sessions haven been granted to five families with insufficient insurance. Team Cont;nue fills a niche when supporting families and navigating suicide prevention.

To acknowledge the engagement and support this initiative, KAMAX became a sponsor for the Foundation’s 2nd Annual 58er Ride. The donation was matched by Robert and his wife Colleen to make KAMAX a Blue Level Sponsor. This entitled our employees to four free ride passes and ride jerseys with the KAMAX logo.

Funding of therapy sessions

Last year, the 58er ride was a huge success with 139 registered cyclists, 8 corporate sponsors, and donations over $27,000 raised. This year was even more popular: over 200 cyclists took part in the event! The ride in July in Washington, MI, offered a lot to discover with food, drinks, and a band for the after-ride celebration behind the bike shop!
