Editorial

Dear Colleagues,

Jörg Steins, CEO KAMAX Group

Many of you have children – maybe even grandchildren – all of us have young people we care about. I’m a father of three. This is my main driver to protect our environment. Because I see myself responsible for doing everything I can to ensure my children have a safe environment, a safe life, and a place to be happy, now and in the future. For me, we all are responsible for protecting our planet for future generations.

As KAMAX, we recognize our responsibility as an industrial company, a steel processing company, and an automotive supplier. In small and significant ways, we are shaping ourselves and our business success sustainably in all areas. We are “Forming our Future.”

As a family-owned business, we have always stood for values such as consistency and reliability – innovative and connected to the local communities in which we operate. We support our customers and business partners to achieve their ambitious climate goals. There are many opportunities for more sustainable ways to manufacture our products: green steel, lightweight fasteners for e-mobility, or more efficient processes.

In 2021 and 2022, we created structures and filled them with life. In other words: We laid the groundwork for our sustainability strategy and future projects. We defined environmental, social, and governance issues relevant to us as the KAMAX Group as well as our stakeholders.

We want to be a company that makes a difference. What we are doing to fulfill this goal is the focus of this KXpress issue. Read in the following pages what we are doing to meet the many requirements for Environmental, Social, and Governance – or short ESG.

Best regards,

Jörg Steins
CEO
KAMAX Group
