Dear Colleagues,
When I started at KAMAX almost a year and a half ago, one thing struck me immediately: there is an incredible number of good and motivated employees with a wealth of knowledge, built up over decades in some cases. I deliberately say “wealth” because we should not underestimate how valuable this is for us and how strong this knowledge makes us.
This first impression confirmed my decision to join KAMAX. Of course, there have been challenges and developments over the last two years that we would have liked to see differently. But I see every day how so many colleagues at all locations show commitment and use their experience and skills to improve the situation.
This potential and your dedication are an important reason why I have decided to take on the role of CEO of the KAMAX Group. I am firmly convinced of our company and what we stand for. In my role, I want to contribute over the next few years to put our company back on the road to success.
First and foremost, together with our CFO Christoph Görtz, I want to ensure financial stability so that we can work calmly and properly in all plants and do not have to constantly put out fires – even though we are very good at this, admittedly. The truth is that this will not be achieved overnight. However, we have already implemented a lot of things to move in the right direction. My task and my goal for the coming year is to drive this process forward so that the measures we have already taken begin to pay off because all of you who work hard every day deserve that.
But now, Christmas is just around the corner. I‘m spending it at my house in Saarlouis with my children, who are also coming home from Aachen and Zurich – both are still in college. Afterward, we want to go skiing together in the Alps: skiing is a great change of pace for me because I can‘t think about anything except going from one turn to the next. I wish you also a wonderful and relaxing time in which you can unwind and celebrate with your loved ones. Enjoy your days off! I look forward to getting off to a great start with you next year.
Best regards,
Reinhard Rupprecht
